The same Person

The Same Person was formed 2006 by Adrian Gillott, Silvia Spechtenhauser, Christina Scheutz and Anna Tobert. The four members of The Same Person studied under Philippe Gaulier in Paris at various times between October 2003 and December 2005, and it was there that they discovered a shared love of devised, character-based theatre that they have since moulded into something of their own. Their particular set of ideals, including a pursuit of obvious theatrical artifice and an overriding interest characters that represent the less attractive corners of life, were reached following time spent on research in Barcelona, Vienna, Graz and St. Andrews since October 2006; this research is now being developed into shows such as Deconstructing Lady Macbeth (Vienna, April 2008), Ug(gly) (London, June 2008) and Sabine und Gerda- (Graz, Vienna, since 2004).
